Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 31 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to rubbish removal, tip runs and related collection services provided by JUNKED. By submitting a booking, accepting a quote or paying for a service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings and quotes
JUNKED offers instant-priced services for selected standard items and materials. Other jobs may require a personalised quote.
Instant bookings are confirmed once payment has been successfully received, but the requested collection date remains subject to scheduling confirmation.
Where a quote is required, the booking is not confirmed until the quote has been accepted and payment has been received.
Unless otherwise stated, quotes are valid for 48 hours.
2. Information and photos supplied
Pricing and quotes are based on the information, quantities, descriptions, photographs and access details provided by the customer.
The customer must ensure that:
photographs reasonably show all items or material to be collected;
quantities and descriptions are accurate;
access information is accurate; and
items are clearly separated and ready for collection.
If the actual job materially differs from the information supplied, JUNKED may pause the collection and provide a revised price before continuing.
The customer may accept the revised price or cancel the affected collection.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices shown through the online booking system apply to the standard services and conditions described at the time of booking.
Additional charges will not be applied to materially different work without customer approval.
Quoted jobs must generally be paid in full before the booking is confirmed.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Square.
4. Collection dates and scheduling
Customers may nominate a preferred collection date.
A preferred date is a request and is not guaranteed until JUNKED confirms the scheduled collection date and pickup window.
JUNKED will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the requested date. If the requested date cannot be provided, JUNKED may offer an alternative date or pickup window.
If the alternative is unsuitable, the customer may cancel the booking and receive a refund for the service not provided.
Pickup windows are estimates and may be affected by traffic, disposal-site delays, weather, earlier jobs or other operational circumstances.
5. Access and items ready for collection
Instant-priced bookings are intended for straightforward, accessible collections.
Items must be accessible and reasonably safe for one person to collect unless otherwise agreed.
Collections involving stairs, difficult access, excessive carrying distance, dismantling, cutting, digging, sorting, unusually heavy items or other additional work may require a revised quote.
The customer must ensure JUNKED has lawful and safe access to the collection location.
6. Unattended collections
Where an unattended collection has been agreed, the customer must:
leave the items in the agreed location;
clearly separate the items from anything that is not to be removed;
provide safe access; and
ensure the items match the booking description and photographs.
JUNKED will not intentionally remove items that are not reasonably identifiable as part of the agreed collection.
If the items cannot be safely or confidently identified, JUNKED may contact the customer before proceeding.
7. Waste JUNKED may refuse
JUNKED may refuse to collect material that is unsafe, prohibited, incorrectly described or cannot lawfully be transported or disposed of.
Standard online bookings do not accept items such as:
asbestos;
sharps;
unidentified hazardous materials;
liquids or leaking waste;
paint, oils or household chemicals through the standard booking service; or
other regulated or hazardous waste unless specifically agreed in advance.
Batteries, gas bottles and other special waste may require individual assessment and confirmation of an appropriate disposal pathway.
8. Heavy or contaminated material
Soil, concrete, bricks, tiles, dense construction waste and other unusually heavy materials require a quote.
Material that is substantially wetter, heavier, contaminated or more difficult to handle than shown or described may also require reassessment.
JUNKED may stop work where continuing would create an unreasonable safety, vehicle, trailer, legal or disposal risk.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Customers should contact JUNKED as soon as possible if they need to cancel or change a booking.
JUNKED does not currently charge a standard cancellation fee.
Where JUNKED cannot provide the agreed service and the customer does not accept a reasonable alternative arrangement, any applicable payment for the service not provided will be refunded.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation or other remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Disposal, recycling and recovered materials
Once collected, items become the responsibility of JUNKED unless otherwise agreed.
JUNKED may determine the appropriate lawful disposal, recycling, recovery, donation or reuse pathway for collected material.
Where scrap metal or another recoverable material has been accepted as part of the service, any subsequent recovery or recycling value belongs to JUNKED unless otherwise agreed.
JUNKED aims to divert suitable materials from landfill where practical, but does not guarantee that every item will be recycled or reused.
11. Safety
JUNKED may refuse, suspend or stop a collection where conditions are unsafe.
This may include unsafe access, aggressive animals, unstable loads, hazardous substances, excessive weight, dangerous structures or other circumstances that create an unreasonable risk.
The customer must advise JUNKED of any known hazards relevant to the collection.
12. Damage and customer property
JUNKED will take reasonable care when carrying out collection services.
Customers should remove or identify property that is not intended for disposal and ensure collection areas are reasonably clear.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Consumer services must, among other things, be provided with due care and skill and within a reasonable time where no specific time has been agreed.
13. Changes to these Terms
JUNKED may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The Terms applying to a booking are those published or provided when the customer makes the booking or accepts the relevant quote.
14. Privacy
Personal information supplied to JUNKED is handled in accordance with the JUNKED Privacy Policy.
